Method One: Soap and Water

First, fill a sink or large bucket with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Place your wine or beer bottles into the water and let soak for at least 30 minutes. For those stubborn labels, allow to soak overnight. After a good soak, some labels may simply fall off, while others may need a little bit more work. Scrub any remaining residue with a sponge or steel wool. Fingernails can also be effective at scraping off any remaining adhesive. For stubborn adhesive try using Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol.

Method 2: Baking Soda and Water

First, fill a sink or large bucket with warm water and add 3 tablespoons of baking soda, per bottle. Place your wine or beer bottles into the water and let soak for at least 30 minutes. The labels will most likely start floating to the top. Peel any remaining labels off the bottles. If any adhesive still remains, use a fingernail or steel wool to scrub off the rest.

Once the bottles are clean, dry off completely and wipe off any fingerprints. Now you are ready to apply your custom bottle labels!
